Hi, I’m Chandni. Namaste,
I love to write, do yoga, travel, hike, learn about cultural traditions of India, & explore spirituality.
On this blog, I’m writing about adventures in personal/spiritual growth, and travel that prioritizes cultural competency and understanding over consumerism.
Our mission is to create a conversation about travel with a foundation in yogic philosophy. Approaching travel as a means to manifest compassion for others, assist in personal healing, and learning cultural competency.
We are asking how does travel changes us? Through a yogic philosophy that we are all one there is a great opportunity to practice compassion. Travel is the medium.
As we travel to other cultures we can bring with us a mindfulness practice, and develop deeper understandings of ourselves and our healing journies. Travel is about taking ourselves outside of our comfort zones and expanding our awareness of the world through connections between people and their places that we choose to visit.
I want to see a more peaceful world. I believe that real change comes from within. I’m a vegetarian and I’m currently designing myself a tiny house in efforts to create a lifestyle that is sustainable and simple.
I follow Sanatana Dharma (Hindu spirituality) this as well as my personal relations, bring me to travel to India regularly. I live on the West Coast of USA. I’m a renaissance woman -or someone of many talents/skills. I create visual and sculptural art, work with community-based non-profits, and have spent many years studying martial arts.
Currently, I am working as a caretaker CNA. I’ve also graduated with a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies and Critical Psychology from CIIS (California Institute of Integral Studies) in San Francisco, California. I have a long history of alternative schooling where my philosophy is: life is the best classroom.
