Travel to Chandigarh:

if you are making a plan to visit India then you should not skip Chandigarh, this is quite distinct from the rest of the country and considerably better organized.It is capital of Indian state of Haryana and Panjab, but the city is not of part of any State i.e this governed by the central government of India.

 1. Rock garden

The rock garden is one such beauty and piece of art which is made entirely by using waste products. Nek Chand, the man behind the construction and work of Rock Garden had a unique concept in his mind and in his spare time built this masterpiece using industrial and home waste and thrown-away item.Made a great impression on me. It is said that the garden is in the second place of the Indian in attendance after the Taj Mahal. Many of the exhibits are really musical. Dozens of the faces look at you when you walk through their kingdom, causing the strange situation.

2. Rose Garden

In our world, everybody loves flowers especially “Rose“. Rose is a symbol of love.  most of the time, we express our love through the rose . rose is such beautiful gift to us from nature.

Zakir Hussain Rose Garden is a botanical garden and spreads over 30 acres of land, with 50,000 Rose-Bushes of 1600 different species. The garden has the distinction of being Asia’s largest. The garden not only has roses but also, trees of medicinal value. Some of these are Bel, Bahera, Harar, Camphor and Gulmohar. The roses are planted in carved-out lawns and flower bed.

Rose Festival, a major cultural event in Chandigarh, which celebrate in February to march. when the garden suffers from the spring season.the is best couple spot in Chandigarh.

3. Sukhna Lake

Sukhna lake is created in 1958 lake’s area is 3 km², it is famous for boating, nice long walks, the spot for picnics. Really nice amazing cafe in the middle offering chaat, samosas etc. Definitely, recommend trying coconut water. Very reasonable price. And this near to rock garden.

History Of Chandigarh

Harappan Culture

planning .this city’s design prepared by Swiss-French architect Le Corbusier. History of Chandigarh is 8000 years old.  there grew the Harappan Culture. this city is dream city of  First prime minister  Jawahar Lal Nehru. After the partition of India in 1947, the former British province of Punjab was split between (mostly Sikhs) East Punjab in India and (mostly Muslim) West Punjab in Pakistan.The Indian Punjab required a new capital city to replace Lahore, which became part of Pakistan during the partition.Therefore, an American planner and architect Albert Mayer was tasked to design a new city called “Chandigarh”. Chandigarh is joined to Panjab’s City Mohali and Haryana City Panchkula so all of three cities is known as tri-city.
